British Research’s vision is to modernise patient safety by indicative monitoring enabling the early detection of deterioration in patients who are mobile and free to move about whether this is at home, at work, socialising or enjoying a hobby, readings and measurements can be taken anywhere.

These readings and measurements are then uploaded to the server via a Smartphone. With adequate warning of adverse events, medical professionals can intervene more quickly and confidently allowing patient outcomes to be dramatically improved. The system will also give family members the ability to monitor their relatives and the ability to make sure those readings such as blood sugar levels and blood pressure are being taken when they should be. The information its self can be accessed from anywhere in the world with an internet connection. The equipment itself is extremely user friendly and eliminates human errors and mistakes or loss of hand written records. The possibilities for this product are not just restricted to the monitoring of medical but are only limited by the imagination.

Wireless Blood Glucose Monitor is of particular use for those suffering from Type I or Type 2 Diabetes, or for pregnant women diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes, offering them a quick and convenient method of monitoring blood glucose levels at home.

A small finger-prick device draws a very small amount of blood which is then applied to a slide and inserted into the monitor in order to measure the concentration of glucose levels in the blood.  Data is then forwarded from the device to the patient’s mobile phone via wireless communication (Blue-tooth).

The patient is then able to view the test results instantly on their mobile phone (software required), thereby enabling them to manage their condition more effectively. In addition, there is the facility for the data to be transmitted from the mobile phone to a remote server for storage or in depth analysis by medical professionals, who with the help of sophisticated software are able to carry out in depth analysis of blood glucose test results.

the-wireless-blood-pressure-monitorThe Wireless Blood Pressure Monitor allows non-medically trained users to carry out measurement of their Blood pressure. The device is specifically designed for indicative monitoring. Where basic results and data can be viewed locally on a mobile phone and then transmitted to a server for viewing or more comprehensive analysis using sophisticated software. The Wireless Blood Pressure Monitor measures Systolic and Diastolic blood pressure and Pulse Rate.

the-ecg-monitor2The ECG monitor is a non-invasive electrocardiographic device for capturing heart rate data using skin electrodes, over lengthy periods of time. For illnesses that are difficult to diagnose, there is an event recording functionality. The device is built for every day use light weight, small in size and enabling mobility. The device is specifically aimed at the non technical user hence designed to be very user friendly.

Data is transmitted wireless via blue-tooth from the Monitor to almost any modern mobile phone with the Java based software application. This enables on the spot (local) analysis for immediate actions if required. The data then can be forwarded via the mobile phone network to a national or centralised server allowing the appropriate person (staff, specialist, family member, etc…) to see the electrocardiographic data, events and carry out  analysis with the help of sophisticated software.

the-wireless-fingertip-pulse-oximeterThe Wireless Fingertip pulse Oximeter carries out indirect   monitoring of the oxygen saturation of a patient’s blood and changes in blood volume in the skin, producing a photoplethysmograph.
Patient data is transmitted via Bluetooth (wireless) to almost any phone with the Java based software application. This enables on the spot (local) analysis of patients results. The data then can be forwarded via the mobile phone network to a national or centralised server allowing staff to see patient’s oxygenation at all times.
